Imagine you are gong to carry out an inspection of a factory in the 1800s. You need to write a report to the government based on your findings.
Your report should include:
•What accidents have your heard about? Why are some children deformed? What diseases and illnesses do the workers catch?
•
•How are rule breakers treated? Are punishments appropriate?
•
•Why are some owners unwilling to make their factories safer? What improvements could be made?21/3/16
This must be handed in the week after 1/2 term.
You have 2 weeks to produce an instruction manual for farmers in the 1800s telling them how to improve their farms so they can cope with the increasing population.
Week 1 you will:
• Complete the front of your leaflet, make it look appealing to read.
Week 2 you will:
Include details under the headings:
•Enclosure – move away from strip farming
•4 course rotation
•Selective breeding of animals
. Better and new equipment
For a higher level you will need to be persuasive in your arguments, highlight the benefits of changing and the inefficiencies of the current system.

- Any other countries that are supporting Britain?
Main Part
- What other reasons led to war? (Include all the other reasons, you might want to group these into two categories, Treaty of Versailles and invading neighbouring countries)
- Did Britain try to prevent war at any time?
- Did Britain trust Germany at any point? (Reaction 5/6)
- Explain how Germany has recovered from World War one (reasons 1 and 2)
- Explain that Britain have tried to prevent war again ( this shows the British government in a good light)
- What do you think will happen next? (Think about the British army, will it need to get bigger? Do you think Britain might hope that Germany will surrender?
